L'Orientale 1732 y\u0131l\u0131nda kurulmu\u015f olup, Avrupa d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki uygarl\u0131klar\u0131n incelenmesine adanm\u0131\u015f Avrupa'n\u0131n en eski kurumlar\u0131ndan biridir. \u00dcniversitenin tarihi misyonu, \u0130talya ile d\u00fcnyan\u0131n inceledi\u011fi \u00e7e\u015fitli b\u00f6lgeleri aras\u0131nda k\u00fclt\u00fcrel al\u0131\u015fveri\u015fi ve anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 te\u015fvik etmek olmu\u015ftur.
